What time is it? It's time.time() to get ill.

In python 2. My simple goal is to write a script that will take the time the first time the user hits the spacebar, then take the time again when the user hits the spacebar, and returns the difference. There must be a very simple way of doing this, but I'm not seeing it. Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Rooted... A Month Before Release

Most new smartphones seem to get rooted within a week or two of their release, but four weeks before they go on sale? Hackers have cracked a prototype tablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab, a month before it hits shelves.
Running Ubuntu 10.04 and can't get HDMI audio from Radeon x1200 card.

I'm REALLY new to Linux and have no programming experience. I wiped Vista off my laptop because it was basically making the machine a POS. Ubuntu has fixed all of my performance issues but left me unable to play audio through the HDMI port. I tried the forums, but they are all over my head. Can anyone help?

Python’s Innards: Hello, ceval.c!
Can anyone explain to me what's the upside of having such a diversity in the linux world?
September 5th, 2010 3:16p.m. | Reddit (RSS)
We all know the downside, the main being that most of the features are written dozens of times again and again, with every distro doing stuff its own way. So the main downside to me is a giant waste of human time.
There are numerous downsides to that. Why doesn't the linux community starts standardizing some stuff?
We can learn from all the other successful OS's, and implement their features the way we see fit, but running something on a RedHat is not the same as running something on Ubuntu or SuSE.
I guess my main question is: Why there aren't solid standards in this world, and not 12 standards for every feature, but rather a single standard for every aspect, like we have in other industries and operating systems (please don't bash me over that other OS's aren't really standardized either, I know, but at least they have a sort of standard base, which linux does not).
